Roy L. Armstrong
Licensed in New Mexico and Texas
Roy L. Armstrong is
originally from Duncanville Texas
and attended public schools in
Duncanville. He attended Southern
Methodist University majoring in
history and political science, where
he graduated summa cum laude
and received his B.A. degree in
1981. Mr. Armstrong then attended
the University of Texas School of
law and received his J.D. degree
with honors in 1984.

In 1984, Roy
joined the Dallas law firm of Salinger,
Nichols, Jackson, Kirk and Dillard and
engaged in a general civil practice. He
counseled and represented many
governmental entities including the
Dallas Central Appraisal District. In
1988 He moved to Austin and joined the
firm of McCreary, Veselka, Bragg and
Allen where his work was focused
principally on property-tax matters. He
worked for local governments all across
Texas and handled a number of
precedent-setting cases on their
behalf.
In 2001, Roy and Julia
Armstrong moved to Taos, New Mexico and
started Armstrong & Armstrong. The firm
still works with McCreary, Veselka,
Bragg and Allen and its Texas clients.
In addition, Roy has used his years of
property tax and local government
experience to represent property owners
and other private parties in New
Mexico.
